Start With Accountability
We yearn to improve. To be better.
Looks, strength, money, status, all the above… pick your poison. No one endeavors to suck. No one wants to be fat, weak, poor, ignored… but what if you are?
Can you change it?
You can, but it’s hard. Damn hard. If it were easy, you wouldn’t be in this spot.
Start by accepting accountability. Accountability prompts initiative. Initiative ignites action and action produces results.
Action sparks the beginning of your new story.
Start simple. Start with this: I am accountable. No matter what has happened so far, I am accountable!
Say it every day when you look in the mirror. Saying the words is easy, the hard part is believing them. Believing is critical. Believing in yourself may not come naturally. In fact, you may feel fake, or absurd, or just downright silly. But plow through this self-sabotaging discomfort and keep up the mantra.
Start changing your story.
Your effort, your choice, your life!
DO it!
